As a designer I call the items in this store something other than modern, closer to kitsch. Really nice signage and has potential with better inventory, more appropriate to the name.
I didn’t really know what to expect when I first saw this shop on Superior St, but when we went inside to shop for a sofa, we were pleasantly surprised! It’s been about six months since we were there, and at that time it has a “warehouse” style & feeling to it. Reconditioned leather furniture is arranged in front, while the owner keeps the back end for the work he does. There are some other, handmade, items on display as well. We had a blast trying out all the pieces that were available at the time. An important thing to remember is that what you see is what you get. It’s a one-of-a-kind shop. We bought a beautiful mid century style sofa that had been reconditioned and dyed a gorgeous aubergine color. Still love it.
